NYVRMLSIG meetings moving to FIT

Globix (formerly the Bell Technology Group) is moving to a building of
their own in lower Manhattan and their conference room will be unavailable
starting in August. Aaron Schorr of FIT's Quick Response Center has
generously given the NYVMRLSIG meeting space. This introduction was made by
SIG member Patrick Jennings who introduced the SIG to Toni Shannon, a 3D
artist who works at the Quick Response Center. Toni has modeled the Empire
State Building in 3D Studio Max and will be adding her model to the
landmark project.

Dates for upcoming meetings at FIT include:

[Note from Dave Chamberlin, SGI]

Due to the recent events at Cosmo, we've had difficulty getting the mac
release onto cosmosoftware.com. Until these issues have been sorted
out, it is being made available on two alternate web sites.

You should note that this release is essentially a beta release,
however the time-bomb has been removed.

HOW Magazine's "Virtual Manhattan" article available on newsstands
------------------------------------------------------------------
HOW Magazine's digital design issue (August) is now available on newsstands.
HOW is a high-end graphic design publication which has traditionally covered
print topics. Because the readership is almost 100% Macintosh artists, the
editor focused on Kathy Konkle's Macintosh landmark model but included URLs to
other SIG members' landmark models (the editor of the VRML Developer's Journal
indicated the landmark article will be published in the "third" issue.).
